Amy Zerner's Fashion Sense: The Energy of Jewelry

Jewelry holds the treasure of memories.

Each piece has passion and character of it’s own—especially when it becomes part of you and your collection. As with most jewelry lovers, there are patterns of wear such as necklaces worn when in a certain mood, worn in cycles, certain bracelets always chosen for certain public appearances, a pair of earrings that are packed and ready for travel. With every piece there is a story, a history and mystery.

I have always adored jewelry, wearing specially chosen pieces like protective armor. There are times  when I choose my jewelry because of the stone’s symbolism and special attributes, or because it was a meaningful gift from my husband, mother or grandmother that will lift my spirit and touch my heart.

Talismans and amulets are charms which have magical empowering abilities or their own power which is transmitted to their possessors. They are used to attract good luck and to ward off evil. Usually the function of a talisman is to make powerful transformations possible when the person would not feel empowered to do so without it.

Among these talismans are precious stones, each possessing their own magical or curative powers endowed by nature. Talismans can be a symbol believed to be endowed with magical powers. The piece is active in bestowing this magical power upon the one who possesses it.

When you wear a special piece of jewelry over time, your energy  harmonizes with it. The piece then enhances the outer beauty of the wearer while imparting the love and warmth with which it was created or given.

Amy Zerner is the Hamptons’ number one fashion blogger and designer.
