Cops: Trio Robs Man at Gunpoint in Riverhead
A Riverhead man is under arrest and two other suspects are still at large following a robbery Wednesday on Delores Avenue in Riverhead, according to police.
Riverhead Town police say a male victim approached a police officer at 4:10 p.m. and said he had just been robbed at gunpoint by two males and a female—police did not specify whether they were youth or adults.
Town police and New York State police searched the area for individuals matching the description of the trio. Police said a short time later one male was located and arrested. Julian R. Williams, 18, was charged with robbery in the first degree, a felony.
Police say they searched the area of Williams’ home on Osborne Avenue and a K-9 unit found the guns that were used in the robbery.
More arrests are expected, according to police.
