The East End is an ideal location for enjoying the Christmas spirit, and it seems some Hamptons celebs have caught on—but it’s unclear who will be here and who won’t.
Obviously Southamptonite Chris Cuomo takes his health seriously. The CNN morning host He was spotted at the CVS Pharmacy on Main Street in Southampton Village on Sunday taking his blood pressure following a jog. He was on air and tweeting from New York on Monday, but will the fitness-conscious newsman be home (to the Hamptons) for Christmas?
Actress and former supermodel Brooke Shields was spotted “still looking fabulous and sweet” waiting in line at Schmidt’s Market in Southampton on Monday afternoon. Was she buying produce for a Hamptons holiday meal?
Like Howard and Beth Stern—who posed as drag versions of Santa and Mrs. Claus (more on this tomorrow)—East Hampton’s Sean Diddy Combs tweeted his Christmas card (see photo above) to fans and friends this week. In the very formal photo, Combs stands with his six children, all dressed in tuxedos and black dresses atop a large staircase. The formal photo features daughters Jessie, D’Lila, and Chance—each wearing a red bow—and his sons Justin and Christian, and stepson Quincy. The nondescript staircase does little to reveal where the shot was taken, or where the family will be spending Christmas.
Alexa Ray Joel is performing on a special Christmas Eve episode of the Today show on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Joel posted the news on Facebook, with this note: “…I croon a revamped-rendition of my own favorite [ssssh…. surprise!] Old-School Xmas-Ditty… I hope you’ll all enjoy and sing along at home!!!” Will she head east on the night before Christmas?
Judging by her recent Instagram photos, it appears Joel’s mom, supermodel Christie Brinkley is spending her Christmas with the family in the Caribbean, though it’s always possible a last-minute flight is on the agenda.
Mariah Carey set the internet aflame on Saturday with photos of herself walking her dog in the snow—wearing only a red bikini! She was still in Aspen on Monday. Will she make the long trip to the Hamptons for the holiday? Most likely not. (See the photo below!)
Another pop star and American Idol alum, Jennifer Lopez has already said she’ll be spending Christmas in Los Angeles with her ex Marc Anthony and their kids—and their current boyfriend and girlfriend! Maybe she and Casper Smart will gain some last-minute good sense and run to her Water Mill estate?
