Charity Auction To See Paul Simon & Sting on Stage Together in NYC

Montauk music icon Paul Simon and famed Police frontman Sting will be performing a special concert, Paul Simon & Sting: On Stage Together, at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on March 6.
On Wednesday, Simon announced on his website that four tickets to the event are up for grabs in an online auction benefiting the Children’s Health Fund, and the winning bidder will get the opportunity to meet both legendary musicians before the show. Bidding is open now and will continue until January 29. As of Friday, January 10, the four tickets were up to $5,250 (of an estimated $10,000 value) on the official auction page at charitybuzz.com. Sting and Simon are longtime friends and have called their collaboration for this On Stage Together tour “a natural fit.” Starting in Houston, Texas on February 8 and concluding in Orlando, Florida on March 16, each stop on the tour will include the two musicians together on stage, as well as separately with their respective bands. Along with the March 6 date, the tour will be in Manhattan on March 4, and it stops in nearby Boston on March 3 and Philadelphia on March 7.
For those who want to catch up on Simon’s epic music catalogue, he had two major releases in October. Over The Bridge Of Time: A Paul Simon Retrospective (1964-2011) features 20 of his greatest hits and, for hardcore fans, Paul Simon – The Complete Albums Collection collects six decades of music, including his 12 studio albums and two full-length live concert recordings, in a deluxe library box with magnetic closure.
