50 Things to Do Before Memorial Day: Photograph the East End
Memorial Day weekend draws ever closer, and while we at Dan’s Papers can’t wait, we also know there are many things we have to squeeze in during the next week on the East End, lest we lose our chance with all that summer brings. We know that if we don’t get out and do these now, we’ll have to wait until after Labor Day before we try again…and so will you!
We continue our countdown of things to do before Memorial Day weekend on the East End with #6: Photograph the East End
Everyone, from locals to early vacationer and part-time residents are busy during this week preparing for Memorial Day weekend– the official kickoff to summer–and all that follows. But it would be worth everyone’s while to take some precious free time and document our beautiful beaches, towns and the East End’s natural splendor before it becomes even more difficult to find the time, let alone a place without 10 other people in the way.
The Hamptons and North Fork are rife with wonderful vistas, historic buildings and brilliant architecture, and our skies are incredible at sunset, so there’s plenty to photograph. And these days, nearly everyone has a camera handy, even if it’s just a smartphone, which take pretty great shots, especially when the subject matter is so perfect!
For those who want to share their pictures, try posting them on Instagram, and make sure to add the #hamptons hashtag for a chance to be included in our weekly Best of Hamptons Instagram posts. Come back tomorrow for 50 Things to Do Before Memorial Day in the Hamptons #5.
