On Saturday, December 6, 2014, Westhampton Beach Village held its annual holiday Winterfest. A full schedule of events took place for all to enjoy. Due to the terrible rain we had, the tree lighting and menorah lighting ceremony was postponed to Sunday, December 7. Hampton Coffee Company provided hot cocoa, the Westhampton High School Chamber Singers performed a musical selection for those in attendance, local religious leaders shared the importance of this time of year and Santa Claus arrived via fire truck to greet children and learn of their wishes. Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce Tracie Glover was the MC for the ceremony. Mayor Maria Moore asked for the crowd of onlookers to join her as she counted down to the lighting.
