Hamptons Dining Dish: Nick & Toni’s, aMano, Digger’s, 1770 House

Here’s what’s hot in Hamptons Dining this week:

Nick & Toni’s in East Hampton now offers two-for-one wood oven pizzas every Monday and Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. The special applies for dine-in or take-out customers. Selection (subject to change) includes: margherita—fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil-pesto; salsiccia—sweet sausage, North Fork mushrooms and provolone picante; cavolfiore—roasted cauliflower, basil-pesto and ricotta salata; chorizo—cheese, ricotta and chorizo; and romana—white anchovy, capers, black olive, tomato and mozzarella. 631-324-3550. nickandtonis.com.

aMano Osteria and Wine Bar in Mattituck serves a weekend brunch prix fixe on Saturdays and Sundays beginning at noon. Diners may choose one brunch item and one drink for $17.95 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Select items include: Panettone “French” toast with strawberries, maple syrup, applewood-smoked bacon and mascarpone; aMano’s Florentine—poached egg, English muffin, potato hash, spinach and hollandaise; or grilled North Fork farm stand vegetable omelet with Catapano goat cheese and tomato. Digger’s Ales n’ Eats in Riverhead serves lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Select menu items include: stout mussels—PEI mussels steamed in Guinness garlic broth served with garlic bread; baby back ribs slow-roasted in our sweet and sticky BBQ sauce; filet mignon medallions marinated in our house sauce, broiled to your liking and served with horseradish sauce; apple gorgonzola salad—mixed greens and crisp romaine lettuce topped with candied walnuts, crumbled gorgonzola, sliced Granny Smith apples and grilled chicken with a light raspberry vinaigrette; Digger’s prime dip—half-pound roasted prime rib wrapped up on a garlic club roll served with au jus; Killarney shepherd’s pie—choice cuts of steak, ground beef, carrots, corn, peas and onions in a natural jus topped with mashed potatoes, served with Irish soda bread and seasonal vegetables. 631-368-3200. diggerspub.com.

The 1770 House in East Hampton offers a three-course prix fixe for $35, plus tax and gratuity, Sunday through Thursday. The special is for dine-in customers only and the special may not apply Sundays of holiday weekends. The menu changes regularly. Sample items include: red and golden baby beets salad with Roquefort, local cress and roasted shallot dressing; Halsey Farm’s Jonah Gold apple and celery root salad; San Marzano tomato soup with Grana Padano crostini; monkfish medallions with baby bok choy, saffron and lobster emulsion; pan-roasted natural chicken with porcini risotto, kale and sage jus; handmade linguini with local littleneck clams, white wine-garlic broth and panko oreganata; Hudson Valley duck breast and white sweet potatoes with roasted orange-fennel pollen conserve and French beans ($5 supp.); and a daily dessert selection. 631-324-1770. 1770house.com
