American Pickers, the popular History Channel series starring Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, will film in Riverhead next month, and producers are looking for locals who have squirreled away a cache of Americana treasure.

Wolfe and Fritz are renowned “pickers” who tour the U.S. to uncover antiques, art, memorabilia and valuables from personal collections. “Mike and Frank are on a mission to recycle America, restore forgotten relics to their former glory, and learn a thing or two about American history along the way,” History states.

Producers are looking for leads. Interesting characters with unique items are sought, such as vintage bicycles, toys, unusual radios, movie memorabilia, advertising, military items, folk art, vintage musical equipment, vintage automotive items, early firefighting equipment and vintage clothing. if they really like it, they will buy it. However, they are not currently looking for farm and agricultural items, tools, glassware, appliances, tractors, crocks and stoves.

The show is only interested in visiting individuals and families—not retail shops or flea markets.
