The Southampton Inn is opening a completely revamped and renamed restaurant this May. With its new concept, name, manager and executive chef, Clyde’s Restaurant (formerly Cafe Oso) looks to improve on the overall dining experience of hotel guests and visitors, while still offering three meals each day.
Clyde’s Restaurant, which is not just available to hotel guests, will continue to offer its popular daily breakfast. Specials include Eggs Any Style, which features two farm fresh eggs to order; and Clyde’s Omelet, a build-your-own omelet with two ingredients of your choice. Other favorites on the breakfast menu are Eggs Benedict, Blueberry Pancakes, Jobs Lane French Toast and the Smoked Salmon Platter.
Lunch will be available inside or outside in the newly refurbished courtyard under fun umbrellas and surrounded by flowers. Guest-voted lunch favorites include a Lobster Roll, Roasted Turkey Club and Classic Caesar Salad. The pool patio bar will open in the afternoon and serve up floats, shakes and tropical drinks all day. Other enticing selections include the Southampton Mojito Float, Coconut Margarita Cooler and Old Fashioned Root Beer Float.
What Clyde’s calls a “classic and healthy take” on a tavern menu will include small pub plates in the afternoon, which can be enjoyed by the bar. The restaurant is also offering Clyde’s Carry-Out— so diners can take food out to the pool, to a beach picnic, to their home or anywhere else. The new Tavern Menu offers a Classic Gourmet Burger, Lobster Sliders, Korean Fried Duck Wings, and Moules Frites–with local, seasonal beers on tap.
The new Dinner Menu allows diners to mix and match locally sourced vegetable sides and fresh sauces and salsas for their chicken, local striped bass, salmon or hanger steak selections. Dessert includes ice cream, sorbets, homemade cakes and other post-dinner treats from the pastry chef.
Southampton Inn (and Clyde’s Restaurant) is located at 91 Hill Street, Southampton. For reservations and more information, visit southamptoninn.com.
