Go Bargain Shopping at Bridgehampton Presbyterian
Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church will be holding their first ever informal modeling and bargain shopping event on May 7.
The event has already received donations of new clothes from Southampton fashion stores STITCH, courtesy of owner Rose Dios, and Collette’s, with make-up and accessories provided by White’s Pharmacy. The event is also accepting donations of gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes and accessories. The sanctuary urges anyone interested to place any donations by tomorrow, Wednesday, May 4.
The Spring Shopping Fling will serve as a fundraiser for the church’s restoration and preservation campaign, seeking to keep one of the East End’s oldest landmarks in pristine condition. The structure dates back to 1670, making the Presbyterian Church the second oldest church structure on the East End. Any contributions will help the structure maintain that divine sheen for the generations to come.
Admission to the event is free, refreshments will be served, and clothing will be a bargain.
In other news, the church is hosting Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival’s final spring 2016 concert at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 14. The concert features delightful and exciting trios by Haydn, Mozart and Schubert, performed by flutist Marya Martin, violinist Ani Kavafian, cellist Peter Wiley and pianist Juho Pohjonen.
The Spring Shopping Fling will run from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church on Main Street (2429 Montauk Highway). For more information call 631-537-0863 or email [email protected].
