Baron's Cove Shares Fall Cocktail Recipes and Events

Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor, which was recently named #1 in Conde Nast Traveler‘s Top Hotels in New York State and The Mid-Atlantic: Readers’ Choice Awards 2016, is pouring some exciting fall cocktails to enjoy at a host of new seasonal events. For those who can’t make it and want to try the drinks at home, or for guests who want to see what they’ll be quaffing this month, the hotel is sharing its recipes right here.
Mighty Mast: 1.5 oz El Dorado Spiced Rum, ¾ oz Ancho Reyes Ancho Chili Liqueur, ½ oz Lustau sherry, 1 oz orange juice, ½ oz ginger agave, dash rhubarb bitters
HMS Fizz (pear gin fizz): 1.5 oz Queen’s Courage New York Old Tom gin, ¾ oz spiced pear syrup, 1oz lemon juice, egg white
Dark Ship (manhattan): 2 oz Kentucky bourbon, ½oz black tea syrup,¾ oz Dolin antica vermouth, dash angostura bitters, house-made cherries
Annapolis Sour (apple rye sour): 2 oz apple rye, spoonful of local apple butter, 1 oz lemon juice, ½ oz lavender syrup, dash orange bitters, lemon twist
La Armada (Oaxaca old fashioned): 2 oz reposado tequila, ½ oz mezcal, ¼ oz herbal honey, dash grapefruit bitters, flamed orange peel
Baron’s Cove Mule: Tito’s Vodka with housemate ginger agave syrup, fresh lime juice, topped with club soda and garnished with candied ginger

Any of these would be fun to make and taste at home, but it’s always best to see how the mixologists who created them do it. And Baron’s Cove is presenting plenty of opportunities to do just that starting this week and continuing through the rest of November.
This Thursday, November 10, kicks off a weekly live entertainment series and early dining menu at the hotel’s Thursday Night Supper Club from 5–9 p.m. (music starts at 6 p.m.). Each week, Baron’s Cove will have a prix fixe menu available all night on Thursdays, which includes appetizer and entrée for $29 per person.
Menu items include Buffalo popcorn shrimp; Baron’s Mussels and Fries; Grilled Grass Fed Skirt Steak (8oz); Roasted Organic Chicken; Rock Shrimp Torchio and more, plus $2 Montauk Pearl Oysters on the half shell and $1 Little Neck Clams, and $10 glasses of house red and white wines.
Another weekly event, Paint & Sip Night, begins tonight, Wednesday, November 9, and will continue the first Tuesday of each month from 7–9 p.m. through April 2017. Baron’s Cove and The Painted Canvas have partnered for this night of wine and art—and no experience in necessary. For $50, participants will get all supplies and a glass of house wine to drink during the painting class. Reservations required.
On Friday, November 18, the inn is hosting an intimate, 23-seat Macari Wine Dinner in the Map Room. Enjoy chef’s treats and bubbles at 7 p.m., followed by a five-course meal at 8 p.m. $125 per person. Reservations required.
A week later, guests can celebrate Thanksgiving at Baron’s Cove on Thursday, November 24. The dining room is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thanksgiving dinner includes three courses, and a gourmet turkey sandwich prepared for each adult to take home for a midnight snack or lunch on Friday! Adults $68, Children $26 (12 and younger), Children 3 and younger eat for free. Reservations required.
And if that isn’t enough, Baron’s Cove wine director (and famous author) Jay McInerney has released his fall picks, which are all available at the inn. New additions include: Champagne Minière F&R, Brut Influence (2007); Château de Brézé, Saumur Blanc Clos de la Rue (2012); Domaine Jean- Louis Chave, Côtes du Rhône Mon Coeur (2014); Luigi Giodano, Barbaresco Montestefano (2012); and Bucaco Branco Reservado (2003) from Portugal.
