2019 Westhampton Beach Village Beach Guide

By David Taylor
4 minute 04/09/2018 Share

Westhampton Beach Village is much more restrictive of its prized beaches than the other incorporated villages, but if you meet the qualifications, these beaches are well worth a visit.

For WHB taxpayers, WHB year-round renters, WHB commercial businesses, Westhampton ambulance members, Westhampton Fire Department members, and WHB Village employees, free parking permits can be acquired on weekends at Rogers Beach from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through the end of June, then seven days a week thereafter. One picture form of ID is necessary for identification purposes. Year-round renters must have their Westhampton Beach address listed on their license and a winter and current utility bill with the renter’s name and the local address listed.

For non-WHB residents living in Westhampton, Quiogue, Remsenburg and Speonk, and seasonal renters in WHB, $495 season permits can be purchased at Rogers Beach from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. beginning Memorial Day weekend. Proof of residency is required, a vehicle registration and driver’s license made out to the local street address. Non-residents and WHB summer renters may bring two guests per beach pass on weekends and holidays and unlimited guests during the week. Guest fee is $10 per guest per day.

Rogers Beach and Lashley Beach will open on weekends starting Memorial Day weekend through the end of June from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. The beaches will be open seven days a week from July through Labor Day weekend.

Summer renters in Westhampton, Remsenburg, Speonk and Quiogue may obtain beach privileges for a fee of $825. Proof of residency is required, including a letter of authorization from the homeowner, the lease and proper identification. Each authorized renter may bring two guests per beach pass per day on weekends and holidays and unlimited guests during the week.

Students enrolled at any Westhampton Beach School may obtain a beach pass for $10 upon presentation of a current Westhampton Beach School ID. Students may obtain their passes at Rogers Beach whenever the beach is open.

For more information, contact the Village of Westhampton Beach at 631-288-6306 or visit westhamptonbeach.org.

What it lacks in concessions, it makes up for with its peaceful seclusion. It’s long been a favorite of locals due to a small jetty to the East.
