A Medford woman is being held by the East Hampton Town police after her twin two-year-old daughters were found unconscious in her vehicle at a state park in Montauk. The two toddlers were taken to Stony Brook University Southampton Hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.
According to the Suffolk County Police Department, they had received a report of a potentially suicidal woman who was missing, along with her two toddlers, which triggered a massive search across the East End.The children were said to be in a state of cardiac arrest when they were found.
Police have not yet released details on the identity of the suspect or the two children, nor have they released detailed on the nature of the charges the Medford woman is being held on.
