Rogers Memorial Library

Professional organizer and certified KonMari consultant Patty Morrissey will be at the Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton on Monday, November 4, at 5:30 PM for a talk, “Tidying Up with the KonMari Method.” She will demonstrate how to tidy up in a meaningful way and how to declutter by category. She will also share the benefits of this process.

Marilyn Carminio will return to the Rogers Memorial Library on Wednesday, November 6, at noon, for a talk on “The Young Princess Elizabeth: The Girl Who Would Be Queen.”

There’s a “Downton Abbey” trivia event on Wednesday, November 6, at 3:30 PM. Participants will test their knowledge of the happenings at the Crawley estate in celebration of the new “Downton Abbey” movie. Tea and treats will be served.

A two-month yoga series for men, led by Vinny McGann on Wednesdays, starts on November 6 at 5:30 PM. The fee for the series is $45. Advance registration and non-refundable payment are required.

The Pumpkin Fling

The Children’s Museum of the East End is hosting its first ever Pumpkin Fling. Using catapults designed and created by iCAMP this summer, kids of all ages will learn the physics behind the medieval machines while launching pumpkins in the museum’s driveway on Saturday, November 2, at 10 AM. For more information, visit www.cmee.org.

East Hampton Trails Preservation Society

Weather permitting, the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society conducts weekly Tuesday morning maintenance hikes at 9 AM, preparing for other hikes on its schedule and keeping as much trail as possible clear and blazed. No experience is necessary, and new volunteers are always welcome. Bring a lopper, trimmer, or handsaw if available. Contact Carol at 631-725-3367for more information.

Hike Stony Hill & Jacob’s Farm Loop, on Saturday, November 2, at 10 AM. Enjoy the fall colors of Stony Hill with a circuit hike off Red Dirt Road in The Springs. Some parts of this loop are hilly. Meet on Red Dirt Road approximately a quarter-mile east of Accabonac Road. Moderate pace. Bring liquids. Leader: Rick Whalen 631-267-6608 or 631-275-8539.

Hike Hither Woods Coastal Trail on Sunday, November 3, at 10 AM — a combination of the Old North Road and Coastal Trail — enjoying great views of Gardiners Bay. Take Route 27 to Second House Road, then north about one mile, where you go straight ahead onto Shore Road. Cross the elevated Long Island Rail Road tracks, and make a left turn onto Navy Road, going to the end. Leader: Carol Andrews 631-725-3367.

The EHTPS will host a general membership meeting on Monday, November 4, at 7 PM, welcoming new old and prospective members to join for the monthly meeting. Refreshments served, and doors open at 6:30 PM at Ashawagh Hall in Springs.

Bonac’s Broadway Bistro

The East Hampton High School’s “Bonac Broadway Bistro,” will be performed on Friday, November 1, at 7 PM at the East Hampton High School auditorium. It includes an intimate evening of song, dance, and instrumental pieces performed by East Hampton High School and John Marshall Elementary School students. Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students. For more details, call 631-329-6462.
