And we’re off and running with a full season of programs at the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce. Our guest speakers have been a “hit” as they say in show business, and it’s been record attendance as well. We work continuously to make sure we serve our 800+ members every day and part of this is having relevant conversations and connections.

The growth of business is key to the future of Palm Beach and indeed the region. From the new tag line of “Wall Street South” for West Palm Beach to the increase of tourism, every industry in every sector is growing. While we know there are approximately 1,218 people a day moving to the Sunshine State, this also makes Florida No.1 in domestic migration, No.2 in international migration and No.1 with the most people moving in per day.

Our restaurants and retailers in Palm Beach are doing record business and the hotels are full also. On the Island we will soon see two new hotels open which we assume will also not only add to the wonderful places to stay, but also add jobs to the economy. Get your airline tickets and come see us!

Recently we had the honor to have three legends appear at our monthly breakfast at the incredible Breakers hotel which is attended by 500-plus members and their guests. Guy Harvey and his daughter Jessica Harvey sponsored by Florida Power and Light, talked about the mission of the Guy Harvey Foundation and the future of our oceans — something we all care about.

His vision for not only conservation and research are incredible but he also believes in education and both he and Jessica work tirelessly to bring young people into the conservation movement!

In addition to the Harveys, Nicholas Calio, President and CEO of Airlines for America sponsored by the Police and Fire Foundation of Palm Beach, wowed the crowd with not only the history of the airline industry in America, but also the impact the airlines have on the economy of Palm Beach and all of Florida.

Over the coming months, we have incredible speakers who will address everything from being entrepreneurs to artificial intelligence and the global economy. The Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce will continue to raise the bar on presentations coupled with our daily quest to serve our members!
