Bay Street Theatre Seeks Volunteers; Meeting April 24
Sag Harbor’s Bay Street Theatre is looking for volunteer ushers, special events assistants, and office and outreach help for its 2014 Mainstage Season and other productions, and a meeting for those interested in lending a hand is scheduled for Thursday, April 24.
This is an opportunity for prospective volunteers to meet Bay Street Theatre’s staff and learn more about the nonprofit theater.
“So many people say to me, I don’t have money to help,” Bay Street Theatre Executive Director Tracy Mitchell said, “but we have a great option! All you need is to have time and enjoy working in a fun environment. If you’ve got that, I’m sure we’ve got a task you’ll enjoy doing—from ushering at shows, to daytime work with phone calling or putting up posters—there’s lots to get done.”
“It is a wonderful way to support the arts in this community,” volunteer coordinator Barbara Oldak added.
Meet at Bay Street Theatre, at the intersection of Main Street and Bay Street in Sag Harbor Village, on April 24 at 5 p.m. Email Oldak at [email protected] to RSVP.
