Amy Zerner's Fashion Sense: Sparkle and Shine
Add some dazzle to brighten a cloudy day, to match a sunny day, or to glow in the moonlight! Gold and silver metallics in clothing, makeup and accessories look very fresh, fun and flashy.
Metallics used to be reserved for holidays, evening wear or a night out, but not anymore. Try pairing an accessory or one metallic clothing piece with jeans or a neutral skirt. A statement metallic clutch can add a touch of magic.
If you don’t want to be too sparkly, polish your nails with a soft metallic color to help your aura to shine, or use a subtle shimmery eyeshadow to glisten in the dark. Pick one element and focus on making that the statement piece of your look. It could be a metallic tank top, a lurex scarf or metallic headbands.
A simple top in a neutral shade paired with a metallic skirt or a sparkly cardigan will add that special pop to an outfit. Look for muted metallic tones or soft shimmery hues in pastel shades. A classic metallic dress looks fabulous when accessorized with nude colored shoes and minimal makeup.
Shimmer and shine at your next cocktail party or night out. Metallic trims are being used to create an impactful border on tunic tops. I like using metallic embellishments on tunics and caftans for that extra luxe touch. The result is pure fashion alchemy and glamour.
