Salivar's in Montauk Is Officially Sold

The place known for getting a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich at 4 a.m. after a night of partying in the Montauk hood, has been sold. The broker behind the deal was Town and Country Real Estate.

Salivar’s has been a Montauk fixture for over 50 years serving food 24 hours a day  in a one-of-a-kind location on the docks.

This sale represents one of the first sales in the dock area in many years. But there is an opportunity for another, since Town & Country is also presently representing the adjacent commercial property for sale – Lenny’s .

Goodbye Salivar’s. We will miss your filthy bathrooms, your angry waitresses and your glorious, glorious late night munchies while discussing philosophy with a 75 year-old,  rummed-up fisherman who hates Barack Obama.

I think I just died a little inside.
