Jimmy Buffet Opens New Margaritaville in A.C.

Just last week, laid-back Island (Long and Caribbean) crooner and Hamptonite singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffet opened up his most recent Margaritaville establishment near the Resorts Casino in Atlantic City. This is the world’s 27th Margaritaville.
Buffet’s Margaritaville is no ordinary restaurant—it’s a $35 million, 40,000-square-foot establishment comprising two restaurants, several bars, a casino and many stores all decked out in beach– or Caribbean-style environs.
For the curious, Buffet’s famous song “Margaritaville” is one of the most lucrative songs in history. Since 1977, when it debuted on the album Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude, “Margaritaville” has remained as popular as ever, and this simple song has inspired an empire.
