DansPapers.com Welcomes Brendan O'Reilly and Lee Meyer

DansPapers.com welcomed former Southampton Patch editor Brendan O’Reilly and Dan’s Papers summer editor Lee Meyer to our team yesterday.

Brendan joins me as a fellow website editor. An East Patchogue native, he brings a high level of digital experience and editorial excellence, in addition to a wealth of local Hamptons knowledge and insights. He’s an Eagle Scout, newshound, student of judo, comic book fan and all-around good guy who I am proud to call my friend. Brendan earned a print journalism degree from Hofstra University. He was a summer intern for The Southampton Press when I was there cutting my teeth as a cub reporter on the Sag Harbor beat, then Brendan joined the staff there as the Southampton Village reporter. He later moved up to become the web editor for 27east.com, and became the founding editor of Southampton Patch in October 2010. Brendan currently resides in Hampton Bays with his cat, Bingo.

Lee, our new assistant editor after his gig as one of our summer editors, grew up in Wantagh and currently lives in Coram. He is a graduate of Stony Brook University, where he earned a degree in cinema and cultural studies. Before bringing his love of arts and entertainment to Dan’s, he worked for such publications as Soap Opera Weekly, Soap Opera Digest, Pixie, OK! and Reality Weekly. Lee is also a comic book fan and a super great guy, and he has a dog named Rufus who only eats people food. (Lee, you may already know, also enjoys people food, both eating and reviewing it.)

Between the three of us, there should be a lot more Spider-Man content appearing on this website…

OK, maybe not. But a geek can dream.
