Hamptons Rich Guy Toy #484: Polaris Sportsman WV850 H.O. ATV

Every wealthy Hamptonite should have proper transport for cruising the estate grounds, and sometimes the standard, rank and file golf cart just won’t do.
With the Polaris Sportsman WV850 H.O. ATV, rugged billionaires can now enjoy driving over native flora and fauna without fear of popped tires or insurmountable hills. Inspired by the military’s MV850 ATV—which already sees regular use for combat operations—this four-wheeler is the first civilian ATV of its kind to feature airless, TerrainArmor tires, capable of taking a direct hit from a .50-calibre round and driving another 350 miles.
Nothing will stop these “little vehicles that can” from reaching that rustic cocktail party, deer hunting expedition or lost golf ball deep in the rough.
As the video says below, “This workhorse features a full steel exoskeleton,” it can haul a 600-pound payload (or a really fat and decadent billionaire), tow up to 1,500 pounds, and has a 3,000-pound winch, while also offering twice the fuel capacity of its nearest competitor.
If you happen to be a railroad tycoon, Polaris notes that its new ATV can drive some 1,000 miles after driving over a railroad spike—a common occurrence for most East End ATV fans.
These badboys hit the sales floor next month, in “very limited quantities,” and start at $14,999.
The new airless tire technology will most likely be available for cars in time, but several companies have unveiled similar versions and they have yet to be sold.
