Tom Selleck Eats All the Tate's Cookies

Tom Selleck was the guest Friday morning on Southampton resident Rachael Ray‘s daytime show and during the interview the topic of conversation came around to Tate’s cookies, winner of the 2013 Dan’s Best of the Best platinum award for Best Cookies on the South Fork.
He described finishing a long day of work and crossing the street to visit the drug store for a late-night snack to fulfill his guilty pleasure, junk food.
“I discovered something I had always heard about: Tate’s chocolate chip cookies,” Selleck said.
“That is no joke,” Ray said. “That ain’t junk food, but that’s an addiction for life.”
Selleck said the cookies came in sleeves of seven each. “I ate one pack the first night and one the next night—and I can’t return to the drug store.”
“We know!” Ray exclaimed.

Tate’s Bake Shop, located in Southampton Village, also took platinum honors for Best Bakery and Best Desserts, and the silver award for Best Coffee.
Tate’s was founded by Kathleen King, of the same family that operated North Sea Farms. She named her bakery for her father.
