Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons to Hold 4th Annual Designer Showhouse
The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons will hold its fourth annual Designer Showhouse event on Saturday, May 24, at their Thrift and Treasure Shop in Sagaponack from 5 to 8 p.m.
The event turns the thrift shop into a wonderland of art collections and other furnishings from professional designers. The works are both from the designers’ personal collections and thrift shop donations.
ARF rescues cats and dogs and shelters them until they can be adopted. As a nonprofit, fundraising events like the Designer Showhouse are essential to ARF’s continued success.
Fern Mallis, founder of New York Fashion Week, is this year’s honorary chair.
Gigi Mahon, Sandra McConnell and Gordon Hoppe are chairing the event with vice chairs Peter Hallock and Lisa McCarthy.
Designers who made rooms are John Bjørnen, Suzanne Caldwell and Maria Greenlaw, among others. All items will be for sale so arrive early to receive the best selection. All proceeds from the event will go to ARF to continue saving and protecting animals in need.
The cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m. and admission is $150. Or, for a total of $250, guests can enjoy an exclusive preview hour beginning at 5 p.m.
The showhouse will be open to the public May 25 and 26. The suggested donation is $10 and children gain free admission. Tickets are available at arfhamptons.org
