Police Seek Fishing Reel Thieves in Hampton Bays

Police are hoping the public can help identify two men suspected of stealing fishing reels from a Hampton Bays tackle shop.

According to Southampton Town police, on May 25 the men took the reels, valued at $1,500, from East End Bait & Tackle at 170 East Montauk Highway.

Now Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Call 1-800-220-TIPS. Police say callers will remain anonymous.
