By Grapevine

Kim Corbett, of Bay Shore, tended bar and rang up retail sales at the private soft opening of Moustache Brewing Company, which took place Sunday afternoon on Hallett Street in Riverhead. Corbett, the sister of co-owner Lauri Spitz, said their family could not be more proud of what Lauri and husband, Matt, have accomplished in opening the brewery.

This Saturday, February 7, at noon, Riverhead’s Moustache Brewing Co. will release Snügg, the 2-year-old brewery’s first bottled beer.

Snügg, inspired by Scandinavian glögg, is in the style of old ale and aged in French oak Bordeaux barrels with cinnamon, clove, cardamom, citrus and raisins. The beer was hand bottled, and sealed with wax.

Each 22-ounce bottle is $22 and there is a limit of two bottles per patron. One small keg will be there Saturday, so Snügg will be on tap on a limited basis. Collectable Snügg mugs will be available for $6.

The release event takes place at the brewery’s taproom, 400 Hallet Ave Suite A, Riverhead, and continues until 6 p.m.

The Eat Me, Drink Me food truck will be there too.

The moment you have all been waiting for… We proudly introduce to you our first bottle, Snügg. Snügg is an old ale, barrel aged in French oak Bordeaux barrels on top of cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom pods, oranges, lemons and raisins for 3 months. There are 255 Hand bottled, wax dipped bottles available this Saturday February 7th at noon. Bottles are $22 each with a limit of two bottles per person. Snügg müggs are available for $6 each and we will have a slim of Snügg on tap. See you Saturday! #craftbeer #riverhead #drinksmall #drinkindependent #snügglife #snüggup #Snügg
