Flapjacks fans rejoice! Today, Tuesday, March 3, is National Pancake Day, and to celebrate the occasion—their 10th annual National Pancake Day—IHOP restaurants are offering guests a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes all day. In our effort to further enrich the depth of your pancakes loving experience, we’re serving you 10 epic pancake quotes, fresh from the griddle.
Since it launched its National Pancake Day celebration in 2006, IHOP restaurants have raised almost $16 million to support charities in their local communities. Today, visitors at IHOP restaurants all over the country are marking this “Decade of Giving” with free pancakes. In return for the free pancakes, IHOP is asking guests to consider donating to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals or other designated local charities. The restaurant hopes to raise $3.5 million for charity this year.
Unfortunately, the closest IHOP to the East End is in Patchogue (31 Oak Street). They also have locations in Port Jefferson Station (513 Patchogue Road), Ronkonkoma (339 Portion Road) and Hauppauge (666 Motor Parkway).
Before delivering our wonderful pancake quotes, we suggest you visit John’s Pancake House in Montauk (The Plaza, 721 Main Street, 631-668-2383). They make excellent crepes—grown-up, French-people pancakes—but E.T. pancakes, featuring chocolate and peanut butter chips, might be suited for this very American day.
