Jimmy Fallon–Produced 'Sharing' Films at Long Island Aquarium
Sharing, an NBC television pilot executive produced by Sagaponack’s Jimmy Fallon, filmed a scene in Riverhead on Monday at the Long Island Aquarium.
The work-place comedy is about diverse employees in a shared office space and among the cast are Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad), Stephen Schneider (Broad City), Jack Carpenter (The Good Wife), Christine Taylor (Zoolander, Dodgeball), Jerry Minor (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and Greta Lee (New Girl)
Darlene Puntillo, the director of marketing for Long Island Aquarium, explains that during Monday’s shoot a character who is a marine biologist takes a woman on a date at the aquarium where he works. The scene took place at the Long Island Aquarium’s penguin exhibit.
The crew did not do much of anything to modify the scenery, except for hanging a few signs featuring penguins. The crew was there from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“They were all wonderful—very kind,” Puntillo says of the cast and crew, adding that she hopes Sharing will be picked up for a season so they return to shoot more scenes.
Jeremy Bronson, who writes for The Mindy Project and was the head monologue writer on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon penned the pilot, which is directed by Beth McCarthy-Miller, whose TV credits include Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock and Community.
