North Haven’s Richard Gere this week joined a Pretty Woman reunion for The Today Show in celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary.
It’s the first time the cast—including Julia Roberts, Laura San Giacomo and Hector Elizondo—and director Gary Marshall have reunited.
The 1990 film, written by J. F. Lawton, is about a prostitute (Roberts) whose fortunes change when a wealthy businessman (Gere) hires her as his escort for the week. Since its debut, the film has grossed about half a billion dollars. It holds the record, 42 million, for the most tickets sold for a romantic comedy.
