Hamptons Dining Dish: Bostwick's, Harbor Bistro, Almond, Restaurant Week
Almond in Bridgehampton will host a special themed wine dinner on Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. The dinner, prepared by Executive Chef Jason Weiner, will feature a creative five-course menu, served family-style, showcasing dishes with locally raised goat, paired with Channing Daughters and Paumanok Vineyards wines. Bostwick’s Chowder House in East Hampton opens April 9 for the 2015 season. Business hours, leading into the summer, will be Thursday through Sunday beginning at 11:30 a.m. Bostwick’s classic menu will return, with crowd favorites such as: blackened fish tacos with fried codfish, roasted corn salsa and chipotle-lime sauce; seafood pasta with lobster, shrimp and scallops over penne with a sundried tomato-cream sauce; baked stuffed clams; clam roll with clam strips and tartar sauce; and crab-stuffed flounder with lobster sauce and a side of vegetables and rice or potato. 631-324-1111. bostwickschowderhouse.com.
Harbor Bistro in East Hampton opens next week, Thursday, April 16, for their 10th Anniversary season. Leading into the summer, the restaurant will be open Thursday through Sunday for dinner beginning at 5 p.m. Diners can expect to see new and innovative menu items, crafted by Executive Chef Damien O’Donnell, added to the selection. As always, the classics will be available, including: yellowfin tuna poke with avocado, tomatoes, macadamia nuts and ginger-soy; crispy kataifi-lobster bundle with citrus slaw, spiced sesame aioli and Thai-chili glaze; blackened beef tataki with pancetta, soy beans, shiitake, yuzu-soy butter sauce; togarashi shrimp linguine with pancetta, shiitake, asparagus and lemon-soy emulsion; tandoori spiced fluke with quinoa tabouli, toasted pine nuts, raita salad and lemon-chive oil; and five-spice Long Island duck breast with eggplant, stir-fry noodles, sesame-soy glaze and orange segments. 631-324-7300. harborbistro.net.
Long Island Restaurant Week will take place from April 26 through May 3. The eight-day promotion features three-course prix fixe menus, available at participating restaurants, for $27.95.
