Montauk restaurant and hotspot Navy Beach has announced the outcome of its third season raising awareness and funds for the Navy SEAL Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families. This year, the restaurant’s efforts raised just over $25,000 for the organization, bringing the three-year total of fundraising for NSF to over $60,000.

This year, the restaurant’s efforts included a “dine & donate” program running from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day during which lunch and dinner checks collected at least $1 per meal while allowing customers to donate additional funds at their own discretion; an annual cocktail party fundraiser in June that was attended by many local residents and business owners as well as active and retired members of the Naval Special Warfare community. Once again, the restaurant joined forces with jewelry and accessories brand MIANSAI and collaborated on a limited-edition bracelet commemorating local Naval history as well as a pop-up from which a percentage of sales were donated to the organization.

“Navy Beach is honored to support the Navy SEAL Foundation for the third year in a row, bringing our fundraising total to over $60,000 for the foundation,” said partner Frank Davis. “We feel fortunate to be able to put our efforts towards assisting the Navy SEAL Foundation ‘programs with purpose’ and in a small way supporting these warriors and their families. The experience has been rewarding and the local community’s response and support has been tremendous. Next year’s kickoff event will be held at the restaurant on Saturday, June 18, 2016. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Navy SEAL Foundation in the future and continue to look for even more ways to help increase awareness for the foundation and its efforts while also helping to raise the funds required for the organization to carry out its core mission: Honoring our warriors. Supporting their families.”

The Navy SEAL Foundation mission is to provide immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families. To learn more, visit navySEALfoundation.org.
