Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts Buy Home in Montauk

Hamptons Hollywooders Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts recently purchased a new home for $5.4 million in Montauk. The A-list couple listed their 6,061-square-foot Amagansett home for $5.85 million with Sotheby’s over the winter, leading many to speculate whether or not they would be keeping a residence on the East End. That question has been clearly answered.
According to a representative from Sotheby’s, Schreiber and Watts have also just taken their Amagansett home off the market, at least for the moment. “They have put a hold on it for now,” the rep said.
Purchased through Corcoran, Schreiber and Watts’ new Traditional, shingle-style house, located on Surfside Avenue, has 3,500 square feet of living space with 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths. Inside offers a large gourmet eat-in kitchen, master suite with a large bathroom featuring a steam shower and separate tub, stained wide plank wooden floors, den-library, media room, laundry room and office. Outdoor decks and balconies offer lovely ocean views, and a finished basement includes a bedroom and full size bathroom. Outside, the home boasts a heated gunite pool, modest pool house, outdoor shower, and access to the nearby bluffs and the ocean below them. See the listing here.

“He’s a big surfer,” Corcoran listing agent Rich Dec said of Schreiber, explaining that the Ray Donovan star wanted easy access to the waves. “That’s kind of the reason he bought it.”
While Schreiber and Watts move in on The End, their Amagansett residence appears to be in limbo. It has 5 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, gunite pool and a pool house with covered terrace and outdoor brick fireplace, bluestone terraces, lots of green space—and it’s in walking distance to both town and the beach. Will they keep two Hamptons houses? Are they updating for a fresh sales push? Only time will tell.
