Southampton Artists Association Memorial Day Art Show Opening Reception
When: May 26, 4 p.m.
Where: Southampton Cultural Center, 25 Pond Lane, Southampton
What: The Southampton Artists Association is comprised of artists 18 years or older who reside on the North and South Fork of Long Island. See oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, mixed media and sculptures from the Association’s members.

“Anchor: A Whale of a Show” Opening Reception
When: May 26, 6 p.m.
Where: Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum, 200 Main Street, Sag Harbor
What: Curated by Dan Rizzie and Suzan Lazarus-Reiman, this annual exhibition is a celebration of Sag Harbor’s rich history. Artists featured in this show include Paul Davis, Jamie Ellis, Eric Fischl, April Gornik, Laurie Lambrecht, Lindsay Morris, Christine Morro, Jill Musnicki, Reynold Ruffins, David Slater, Ned Smyth, Donald Sultan, John Torreano.

Kiefer Sutherland

What: Sutherland’s debut album, Down in a Hole, was released in 2016. Don’t miss this opportunity to see Sutherland perform live in one of the East End’s premier music venues.

Audra McDonald

Where: Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, 76 Main Street, Westhampton Beach
What: Storied stage, film and television star Audra McDonald brings her incredible voice to the East End. With six Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards, an Emmy and endless critical acclaim, McDonald is one of the greatest talents of her generation.

What: Set in Berlin circa 1930, Cabaret explores the lives of several people as the Third Reich begins to take over their world. The Emcee, with his dark humor and promises that “Life is a Cabaret,” is one of the great roles in musical theater. With hits like “Wilkommen,” “Don’t Tell Mama” and the title song, Cabaret is guaranteed to be an evening of theater you won’t soon forget.

That 70s Band: Summer Kick-Off

What: Rock out and dance the night away at Suffolk Theater in this raucous kick-off to the summer season. That 70s Band is a fun, talented tribute group that will take you back to the disco.

Comedy Club: Colin Quinn
When: May 27, 8 p.m.
Where: Bay Street Theater, 1 Bay Street, Sag Harbor
What: Bay Street Theater kicks off their summer with iconic comedian and actor Colin Quinn. Best known for his work on Saturday Night Live from 1995–2000, Quinn hosted the late night sketch show’s popular Weekend Update. Quinn has worked extensively in television and film, and has also performed several one-man shows, with the latest, The New York Story, being directed by East Ender Jerry Seinfeld.

Barn/Contra Dance
When: May 27, 8 p.m.
Where: Shelter Island Community Youth Center, 281 School Street, Shelter Island
What: Caller Dave Harvey will lead the dancers, accompanied by Sylvester Manor’s Bennett Konesni and Edith Gawler and fiddler Jeff Davis. This fun evening is great for dancers of any experience level. Come for an instructional segment at 7:45 p.m. Wear comfortable shoes!

Dan’s Rosé Soirée: The Summer Kickoff Event

Sag Harbor Memorial Day Parade
When: May 29, 9 a.m.
Where: Sag Harbor Village
What: The annual Village of Sag Harbor Memorial Day Parade will begin at the World War II monument across from Mashashimuet Park and continue down Main Street to Marine Park on Bay Street. A service will follow the parade.
