Paint Night

Where: Pawcasso Art Studio, 8 Moniebogue Lane, Westhampton Beach
What: Tweens ages 9–12 can participate in this special paint night sponsored by Westhampton Free Library. Admission is $20; $5 of each admission goes to Bideawee. Parents should register their child at the library.

FESTIVAL
Sag Harbor Cultural Heritage Weekend
When: May 20/21, all day
Where: Throughout Sag Harbor
What: Head to Sag Harbor with your family for two days of fun activities, demonstrations and events. This year’s theme is Sag Harbor: Port to the World, highlighting the village’s rich maritime history. Family friendly activities include a reenactment of the Revolutionary War skirmish Meig’s Raid, which follows the route of the original patriots’ raiding party from Long Beach to Long Wharf; a boat building demonstration by the East End Classic Boat Society; a marine touch tank from South Fork Natural History Museum at John Jermain Library; and more.

GARDEN
Let’s Get This Garden Started – Art That Rocks
When: May 20, 10 a.m.
Where: Children’s Museum of the East End, 276 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton
What: This special workshop will show families how to make their own stone mosaic. Families can either bring theirs home to add it to their plot of plants or add it to CMEE’s own garden for all to see.

Ann Coppola as Bonnie Bess the Pirate
When: May 20, 11 a.m.
Where: Quogue Library, 90 Quogue Street, Quogue
What: Ann Coppola is the founder of After 3 Theatre and a dramatist at Bank Street School. She has worked with young children using interactive story play to bring out their imaginations and sense of wonder, and will bring her funny and spunky character, Bonnie Bess the Pirate, to Quogue Library. This event is appropriate for kids ages 2–8.

LEARN A LANGUAGE
Bilingual Storytime! Cuentos Bilingües!
When: May 23, 11:45 p.m.
Where: Montauk Library, 871 Montauk Highway, Montauk
What: Bilingual Storytime is a great way for your child to learn another language while having fun. Using a combination of fun books, multicultural songs and fingerplays in both Spanish and English, this 45-minute activity is a great introduction for kids of all ages to begin to learn Spanish.
