Charlene and Bart recently entertained subway travelers at Rockefeller Center with a rendition of the 1973 classic “Jolene.”

Wait a minute, who are Charlene and Bart?

In a hilarious segment for The Tonight Show, East Ender Jimmy Fallon and pop star Miley Cyrus went undercover as subway singers. As Cyrus nailed the song, Fallon played the tambourine and sang backup. People clearly recognized Cyrus’s distinctive voice, and the subway platform quickly filled up with fans. After singing “Jolene,” Fallon and Cyrus removed their disguises to an ecstatic crowd and Cyrus began to sing her hit “Party in the USA.”

“I love you, Bart!” she exclaimed after the song.

Cyrus told Fallon on The Tonight Show that she loved the experience, which was her first time on the subway. “I will always remember it,” she said. “I don’t think it’s like anyone else’s first time [on the subway]. I don’t get a lot of first times anymore. I’ve been every kind of crazy mascot. I’ve done a lot of crazy things, as everyone knows. That wasn’t the craziest thing I’ve ever done, even a little bit, but it was definitely memorable. The most appropriately crazy!”
