On Saturday, May 9, cars lined up at The Country School in Wainscott to plant a seed of hope in students. After weeks of conducting Zoom check-ins with its nursery students, the school welcomed the little ones in person to pick out plants for Mother’s Day.

In abiding by social distancing regulations, teachers wore masks and remained six feet apart from each child as they aided in selecting just the right gift for their mothers. Kids were also gifted goodie bags with sand toys, as a way to lift their own spirits.
