The Artists with Executive Director Christina StrassfieldLisa Tamburini

The Look at the Book exhibition, hosted by Southampton Arts Center Executive Director Christina Mossaides Strassfield in Southampton, has opened its doors until May 4th for an exploration into the significance of literature.

Featuring works by 33 artists with accordion books, video books, audiobooks, graphic novels, sculptures and photography, the event celebrated the transformative power of literature while addressing freedom of speech and banned books.

Amidst workshops, reading, performances and panel discussions, Look at the Book underscored the role of books as pinnacles of knowledge, culture and history, while reflecting on the impact of technology on our relationship with literature.
