“Fingertips” By Little Stevie Wonder
In 1963, “Little” Stevie Wonder performed his song “Fingertips” to a live audience and the tune was recorded to a record. When the track was released as a live recording and not a studio recording, it became the very first song in the world to hit the Billboard number 1 chart that was recorded live. “Fingertips” was written by Clarence Paul and Henry Cosby, who are both considered to be Stevie Wonder’s personal mentors in the music industry.
Wonder was just 13-years-old when the song was released, and the hit brought him into super-stardom that lead him into a mind boggling successful career. The song truly makes you realize what a genius Wonder was, and how he was completely capable of bringing an audience into the palm of his hands. It’s an amazing song, and if your a bit too young to remember this jam, you’ll want to have a little listen.
