Nicky Hilton Featured in Avenue on the Beach
Southampton resident and fashion icon Nicky Hilton graces the cover of this summer’s inaugural Avenue on the Beach magazine.
The June 2015 issue’s cover story, “Fresh Heir”—written by Suzanne Weinstock Klein and featuring beautiful shots of Hilton in her family’s Southampton home by Georgia Nerheim—looks especially at the hotel heiress’ coming nuptials with fiancé and British banking heir James Rothschild, and her true character beyond the tabloid hype.

In the article, Hilton explains that both she and Rothschild are “very shy, very quiet,” and have made a conscious decision to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, despite their pending marriage being the stuff tabloids and press love. Called a love story and the uniting of two dynasties, the pair’s relationship appears to be deep and true, according to friends in the story, who say Rothschild absolutely adores his bride to be. The couple shares a passion for cooking and they frequent the East End, often shopping at area farmstands for locally-grown produce and more.
Hilton, who is clearly as laid back and down to earth as someone of her station can be, says in the story that she’s been easy going about their wedding plans. “I think it terrifies my fiance,” she says, noting that she wants a traditional, beautiful ceremony and reception. Hilton also discusses her dress, but you’ll have to pick up the issue to read what she says.
Following “Fresh Heir,” Keith Dovkants‘ story, “Major Merger,” explores the history of and relationship between the Hilton and Rothschild families.
