ArtHamptons: Fine Art Fair to Be Held Fourth of July Weekend
ArtHamptons, the fine art fair returning for its 8th installation this summer, is seeing a change of time and venue. Scheduled for Fourth of July weekend, this major art event will include 70 international galleries showcasing post-war and contemporary artists accompanied with panel discussions, award presentations and VIP events.
On Thursday, July 2, ArtHamptons will begin with an exclusive First Look from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by the Opening Night Preview from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on the same day. The event will continue to run on Friday, July 3, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, July 4, also from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, July 5, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The art fair has been relocated and will now be held at an outdoor pavilion on private estate grounds at Lumber Lane and Scuttle Hole Road in Bridgehampton.
ArtHamptons will maintain its traditional proceedings while welcoming in the patriotic atmosphere of Fourth of July in a celebration of the American spirit coupled with the appreciation of fine art. A number of activities are scheduled to enhance the holiday weekend including the ARTrageous Fourth program, themed “Made in America,” during which guests will be treated to complimentary handcrafted American spirits and a Texas BBQ styled menu to be supplied by Cheffe Colette the executive chef of the Inn Spot on the Bay, on July 4.
This summer, ArtHamptons will be holding several events to raise funds and make donations to five charities including Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center, and Southampton Cultural Center. The proceeds from the First Look will benefit Guild Hall and the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation.
Several ticket options are available. The first is the Black Card at $125. The Black Card provides the ticket holder with access to the First Look and Opening Preview on July 2 and includes hors d’oeuvres from 5 to 7 p.m. and access to a complimentary wine bar, sparkling wine and specialty cocktails from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Black Card ticket holders are also allowed full access to the VIP lounge and unlimited entry to the fair on all dates July 3 through July 5. The second option is the VIP Pass at $75 which provides the ticket holder with access to the Opening Night Preview on Thursday, July 2, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. VIP pass holders will also be able to enjoy complimentary drinks as well as be able to gain full access to the VIP lounge, and unlimited entry to the fair on all dates from July 3 to 5. Day passes are also available for $20 for any of the scheduled dates.
ArtHamptons is run by the Hamptons Expo Group of Southampton. HEG was founded 9 years ago by art collector Rick Friedman and has a following of over 50,000 art lovers and enthusiasts from across the nation. HEG is also responsible for organizing other art events, such as ArtAspen, Houston Fine Art Fair and Palm Springs Fine Art Fair.
