LARC-V Lands in East Hampton
Jan 16, 2013 - This impressive machine is a LARC-V (Lighter, Amphibious Resupply, Cargo), an aluminium-hulled amphibious cargo vehicle capable of transporting 5 tons. It was developed in the United States during the 1950s, and is used in a variety of auxiliary roles to this day. Published on YouTube in November by local videographer and East Hampton Town trustee Deborah Klughers, creator of the East End-based web series Keepin' it Green.
