The Classic and mygofer Support Food Pantry

The 36th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show, which returns to Bridgehampton from August 28 to September 4, is sponsoring a food drive in support of the Sag Harbor Food Pantry. The online personal shopping service is lending its support as sponsor of the drive.

Spectators who present three or more nonperishable items at the entrance gate on Tuesday, August 30 or Wednesday, August 31 will be granted free admission to the show that day courtesy of All of the items collected will be donated to the Sag Harbor Food Pantry and shared with other area food pantries, depending on the amount of food collected. is an innovative one-stop shopping experience that offers a range of groceries, prescriptions, and various other products with same-day delivery service to the customer. It allows them to shop online for groceries, prescriptions, health and beauty products, electronics and more and have them delivered that same day to their home or to a local participating Kmart store where it is available for pickup,” said Rob Roy, director and general manager of “Given’s presence in the Bridgehampton community, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to team up with the Hampton Classic Horse Show in support of the local food pantry.”

Admission for the Hampton Classic is as follows:

Children under 6, free; free parking Sunday, August 28  – Sunday, September 4: $10/person or $20/carload; Monday, Augist 29:  admission free – Boutiques and Exhibition Tent Open; seniors are free Tuesday – Thursday, August 30-September 1; Saturday, September 4: Cablevision’s Kids Day – children under 12 free; Sunday, September 4: Reserved Grandstand Seats: $25/person (in addition to $10/person or $20/carload admission) and $35/person preferred center sections grandstand seating/ultimate seating.

For those who can’t make it to the show grounds, WVVH-TV, the official Long Island television station of the Hampton Classic, broadcasts up to five hours of competition and highlights each day during the Classic. These broadcasts can also be seen online at
