Gas prices are taking a toll on Hamptons residents. With oil prices soaring on Wall Street, Main Street is feeling a pinch at the pump.
The Mobil station in Amagansett had a regular gallon of gas at $4.27 and summer is still a few months away. Historically, gas prices in the summer time rise and in the Hamptons, we feel the extra pain because of the cost of transporting the gasoline further out onto the island.
We haven’t seen prices like this since the highs of 2008. Are gas prices affecting how much driving you are doing these days? We want to know!
