Five Fabulous Places to Watch the Olympics in the Hamptons

By David Rattiner
3 minute 07/27/2012 Share

The Summer Olympics provides those of us here in the Hamptons not only a major international event featuring thousands of athletes from around the globe participating in events from swimming to sailing, but also the perfect excuse to head out day after day, night after night, to take in the action with fellow East Enders at great sports-watching locales—some traditional, some surprising—on both the North and South Forks.  With one eye toward top-notch TVs and another focused on fine food and drink, plus a nod toward Olympic host city London, we offer five great locations to take in the Summer Games—one for each Olympic ring.

Nichol’s—This is a great British bar and restaurant in East Hampton, and it takes the gold-medal slot on this list thanks to its British heritage. An ideal combo of televisions and excellent food, and there is always a chance you’ll run into Paul McCartney when you hang out here.

Agave’s—Located in Bridgehampton, this is a great bar for sports fans. The Mexican food is first-rate and the televisions run down the length of the entire bar!

75 Main—Always a great choice for fine dining in Southampton and located right on Main Street (bet you couldn’t guess that one!), 75 Main also offers an excellent bar for watching sports.

Digger’s—Located in Riverhead, this classic bar is one of those places where you head when you want your Olympic events paired with a stunning selection of craft beers.

Southampton Publick House—The Southampton Publick House is home to arguably the best beer in the world, and we can think of few things better than enjoying a Southampton lager while watching the Olympics taking place just down the road from Southampton, England.
