Where to Watch Super Bowl XLVII on the East End

By Dining
4 minute 02/01/2013 Share

It’s Super Bowl time! Regardless of whether you’re pulling for the Baltimore Ravens or the San Francisco 49ers—or simply lamenting the absence of the Giants and Jets—making the most of Super Sunday means watching, eating and drinking in a great spot. So if  you’re not heading down to New Orleans, huddle up with this lineup of spots to enjoy Super Bowl XLVII in the Hamptons and on the North Fork.

Agave (1970 Montauk Hwy, Bridgehampton 631- 237-1334) The perfect trifecta—tasty Mexican food, a big beer menu and an entire wall of TVs.

All Star (96 Main Road, Riverhead 631-998-3565) More than a super place to bowl—they even have game-day bingo for the big game—the sports-bar atmosphere doesn’t get bigger than here.

Blue Collar Bar (801 County Road 39, Southampton 631-259-3386) A very local scene, where the beer is ice cold and the boys at the bar will be fired up for the big game.

Bobby Van’s (2393 Montauk Hwy, Bridgehampton 631-537-0590) Super Bowl is football’s ultimate high-stakes game. The ultimate steak seems appropriate game-time fare.

Buckley’s (139 W Montauk Hwy, Hampton Bays 631-728-7197) A good old-fashioned Irish pub feel makes this a great choice for the Great American Game.

Cittanuova (29 Newtown Lane, East Hampton 631-324-6300) If you haven’t thought about pairing Italian fair and football, the great food and bar atmosphere here will make you think again.

Gators Restaurant  (6 W Montauk Hwy, Hampton Bays 631-728-4100) Famous for its wings, and a great bar not totally dominated by the TVs makes it an ideal place for a the can’t-miss-a-minute fanatic and the casual viewer alike.

Gurney’s Inn (290 Old Montauk Hwy, Montauk 631-668-2345) The Super Bowl party is on at The End

Little | Red (76 Jobs Lane, Southampton 631-283-3309) Perfect for the football fan looking for a crowd that’s more martini drinkers than beer guzzlers.

Maple Tree BBQ (820 West Main, Riverhead 631-727-2819) Pulled pork, smoked brisket, corn bread…barbecue is one of the hot food trends for Super Bowl Sunday this year, and Maple Tree BBQ is smokin’.

M.J. Dowlings Steakhouse and Tavern (3360 Noyac Road, Sag Harbor 631-725-4444) The shrimp po-boy brings this neighborhood pub one step closer to the Louisiana feel of this year’s Super Bowl site.

Southampton Publick House (40 Bowden Square, Southampton 631-283-2800) Super local beer and plenty of room to jump up and down when your team scores make it a can’t miss.

North Sea General Store (130 North Sea Road, Southampton 631-283-1826) Sometimes the best place to watch is right in your own living room—especially when somebody else is making the trays of hot wings, wraps and giant heroes!
