It's Going to Snow Because It's Wintertime

The panic has already begun locally as the Hamptons prepares for what some are saying will be a “historic blizzard” this weekend. Winter Storm Nemo—because now we have to name snowstorms—is predicted to bring some 6-12 inches of white to the region and as much as two feet of powder to New England, just north of Long Island.

A coastal flood watch is also in effect for some areas of the Island and reports suggest New England and Long Island may have to endure more power outages and downed trees. On the upside, many East End residents are looking forward to a huge $5 refund from LIPA, if the power outages last more than a week.

Check back with The Scoop on DansHamptons.com for updates on this developing story.
