NBC announced on Thursday that former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, best known as “Scary Spice” and now “Mel B,” will join Hamptons resident Howard Stern on the judges panel of America’s Got Talent. Mel B replaces Sharon Osbourne and takes her seat alongside Stern and comedian Howie Mandel in the Season-8 episodes, beginning this summer.

Contestants from the Season 8 open-casting auditions will be invited back for televised auditions to perform in front of Mandel, Stern and B in five cities across the country. The top 48 acts will move on to compete during this summer’s live shows and vie for the coveted $1 million grand prize. Submissions are still being accepted online at agtauditions.com.

“I’m thrilled to be part of this season of America’s Got Talent and to get to work with Howie and Howard,” Mel B said. “It’s so exciting to be bringing some girl power to the panel!”
