Marshall Brickman will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the 28th Annual Guild Hall Academy of the Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards tonight (Monday, March 4) at The Plaza Hotel. The evening, which will honor Mickey Straus for Leadership & Philanthropic Endeavors, author Walter Isaacson for the Literary Arts, Amagansett artist John Alexander for the Visual Arts and actor Nathan Lane for the Performing Arts.

Amagansett actor Alec Baldwin will present the award to Straus, Ken Auletta will present to Isaacson, and Jack O’Brien to Lane.

“The annual awards ceremony celebrates the creativity of an outstanding group of artists and visionaries on the East End whose work has consistently delighted and whose commitment to the arts has inspired us,” Roy Furman, president of Guild Hall’s Academy of the Arts, explains. The Academy honors both summer and year-round East End residents who have demonstrated excellence in the visual, literary, and performing arts.

Funds raised from the gala awards dinner benefit Guild Hall and all its artistic endeavors on the East End.

Cocktails begin at 6 p.m. at the Plaza Hotel. Dinner immediately follows at 7 p.m.
