The newly formed Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League (HCBL) has released finalized rosters for its seven teams, with more than 100 college programs represented.

The Southampton Breakers will be looking to repeat as Hamptons champs beginning with their season opener on Sunday, June 2, at home against Westhampton. Among their returnees are LHP Paul Paez (Rio Hondo), who took home the Darrin Winston Pitcher of the Year Award last year in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League and was named the league’s top prospect, as well as catcher Brett Geren (Princeton). The Breakers will join the Center Moriches Battlecats, North Fork OspreysRiverhead Tomcats, Sag Harbor Whalers, Shelter Island Bucks and Westhampton Aviators in the fight for the HCBL crown.

The Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League comprises popular East End-based teams from the ACBL‘s Hamptons Division, along with some first-time teams. The new league launches its first season this summer.
