LI Wine Council Announces Facebook Promotion

The Long Island Wine Council has launched a spring Facebook contest asking fans to guess what day they believe the first buds will appear in the region’s vines. Fans who guess the correct date can qualify to win a free tasting for two at one of the Wine Council’s member wineries. The contest question went live on March 20, and it will run through April 20 or “Bud Break”—the common term for the start of the year’s vintage—whichever comes first.
