Matthew Broderick Extends "Nice Work" Run

Hamptons resident Matthew Broderick is extending his run in Broadway’s Nice Work If You Can Get It through June 15. Written by Joe DiPietro, with music by George and Ira Gershwin, the musical is a new production based on the writing of P.G. Wodehouse and Guy Bolton.
Broderick was on the cusp of his one-year anniversary playing wealthy playboy Jimmy Winters, when he announced he would remain in the cast. He stars alongside Broadway star Kelli O’Hara (Billie Bendix) and Hamptons acting great Blythe Danner, who joined the Tony-winning production in December as Broderick‘s mother Millicent Winter.
The play is a romantic comedy set in New York City during the Roaring 20s. It follows a cast of outrageous characters who have gathered to celebrate Winters‘ wedding, but things don’t go as planned when the playboy meets a bubbly and feisty bootlegger (O’Hara) who melts his heart.
Nice Work If You Can Get It is playing at the Imperial Theatre, 249 West 45th Street in Manhattan. For tickets, schedule information and more, visit niceworkonbroadway.com. Catch Broderick before he’s gone!
